Who We Are
The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College
Hall of Fame is a member supported, non-profit organization that is dedicated to insuring
the future of amateur football at the local, state, and national level.
Since its beginnings in 1947, the goal of the National Football Foundation and College Hall
of Fame has been to promote amateur football and to preserve the spirit of the game, its
character building attributes, and its vital role in the educational process. The Central
Pennsylvania Chapter supports those objectives and organizes their annual awards banquet
to recognize high school senior football players who demonstrate academic and athletic
excellence while serving as leaders and role models within their communities. Also, on an
annual basis, the Chapter recognizes these same characteristics in college student athletes
from three local collegiate institutions: Penn State University, Lock Haven University, and
Juniata College.
Over the past ten years, 319 high school student-athletes have received recognition at our
banquets, and 95 have received $1,000 college scholarships. In addition, 30 college student
athletes have received recognition.
